Images from Shutterstock.com Physical Properties A physical property is a property of matter that you can observe with your senses. Chemical Property A chemical property cannot be observed by your senses and usually results in the formation of a new substance. It is also nonreversable. Chemical Change A chemical change is any transformation of matter that results in a new substance and a new molecular structure Physical Change A physical change is any transformation of matter that results in a new size, shape, color, volume, mass, density, or state, but not a new molecular structure. This sliced cake is an
example of a physical
change because it does
not lose its chemical
makeup when it is sliced.
It only loses its size. Reactivity is a good example of a chemical property because you can't see it and it can result in a new substance. This is a good example of a
chemical change because
when the fireworks are popping,
they are becoming a new substance and the molecular structure is changing. This is a Lamborghini Aventador. The orange color on it is an example of a physical property.
P.S. This is a very sexy car.
