Romeo and Juliet
Transcript of Romeo and Juliet
Son of Lord Montagu
Falls in love with Juliet
Stands up for friends
This story is about two young people, Romeo and Juliet, who fall in love. They both live in Verona, Italy, where there is still an old quarrel which separates the city into two families, (Montagu and Capulet) and because of it they cannot be together(since both come from the opposite families). They ask a priest named Friar Lawrence to marry them, but Romeo ended up killing Juliet’s cousin on the day of the marriage, banishing him from Verona. After that, Juliet is ordered to marry Paris by her father(unaware of Juliet's marriage to Romeo).Juliet and Friar Lawrence come up with the idea where Juliet fakes her death using a draught that will make her look dead for 2 days to be with Romeo. This backfires because both of them die in the end, because Romeo thinks Juliet is actually dead and kills himself. Because of their deaths, the two families make peace, and put aside their problems for the sake of their children.

Juliet’s father wants Juliet to
get married to Paris, unaware
of her previous marriage to Romeo.
Juliet goes to Friar Laurence

Juliet fakes her death on the day of her marriage, so with her parents in despair, they bury Juliet in a vault. Although the plan didn't go right, since the messenger was delayed, Romeo did not get the message, and didn't know of the scheme. He returns to Verona to see his wife.

The Montagues and Capulets are in
a quarrel, and hate each other. They don't talk to anyone in or involved their family, because if the communicate, they can get into huge arguments and fights. Since a young Monatgue and a young Capulet have fallen in love, it makes it harder for them to be together.
Point Of View
While visiting Juliet, Romeo encounters
Paris, and Paris fight Romeo in the vault.
In the story it had a
mood, since Romeo and Juliet loved each other, and were willing to do anything for each other. It also has a
mood at the end because they kill them selves. It has a
mood because These two individuals loved each other but their families were the reason they couldn't be together. It then had to come to a point where they sacrificed life to finally be happy and together.
This story is told from third person because none of the characters in the actual plot are narrating the story, and don't refer themselves as "I". The narrator addresses all the characters' names, and knows everything about the events in the story. The narrator also reveals details that the characters in the story don't know.
The type of irony in this story is Dramatic irony because Romeo did not know that Juliet was actually faking her death, but he thought she was legitimately dead, and killed himself.
Romeo sees Juliet dead, while she is faking, and kills himself with poison, and both men die beside Juliet.
Juliet awakes to find her love, and her fiancee beside her dead. So Juliet takes Romeo’s dagger and stabs herself in the heart.
Friar Laurence sees the lovers lying on the floor, and calls both families. The Montagues and The Capulets find out that their children died because of their quarrel. The families put their differences behind, and ended the feud, for the peace/legacy of their children.
