History of pakistan
Muslims ruled the subcontinent (which was divided into India & Pakistan) for a period of over 800 years.
Subcontinent was then taken over by British.
Muslims ultimately became a minority whereas Hindus became a majority as well as their civil service became the priorty for the British government.
Muslims suffered a lot due to this but after prolonged struggle by the Muslim Leaders, Pakistan emerged on the map of the world on 14th August 1947.
ClImate of Pakistan
Pakistan has 4 seasons.
A cool, dry winter starts from December through February
A hot dry Spring from March through May
The summer & rainy season,or southwest monsoon period, from June through September
The retreating monsoon period of October and November.

It's an arid desert and mountainous region on the Iranian plateau in south-western Asia, northwest of the Arabian Sea.
It stretches across southwestern Pakistan.
The folks of Balochistan use Balochi as their Native language.Persian, Pashtu and Urdu Sindhi language are used as second languages in some areas; Brahui is spoken by the Brahui minority.

Hockey was originally brought to Pakistan under British rule.

Some of the Pakistan Hockey Star Players include Latif Ur Rehman, Qazi Mohib, Sohail Abbas, M. Usman Sheikh & many others.
Cricket
Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan.

The Pakistan cricket team is also known
as The Green Shirts or Shaheen, is the
national cricket team of Pakistan.
Cricket in Pakistan has a history of even
before the creation of the country in 1947.
Pakistan Women Cricket Team is also no less than Men Cricket.
Pakistan won the ICC worldcup in 1992.
Pakistan Cricket stars are Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Zaheer Abbas, Waqar Younis, Shahid Afridi etc.
Pakistan is a country located in South Asia and almost twice the size of California by area.
Pakistan share its land border with India, China, Afghanistan and Iran. Pakistan also share its marine border with Oman.
Weddings
Pakistani weddings mainly consist of three main events.
They could last for a week too.
The most common events that are held in a Pakistani marriage include Marriage Proposal, Engagement, Dholki, Mehndi (Henna), Barat, Nikah, Registration, Reception, Rukhsti (Farewell),Valima (Walima), and Honeymoon.
The only Islamic requirement is the Nikah and Valima. Other events are cultural additions and Registration is usually a legal requirement.
