Meetings with Academic Advisors
Double Degree Students
Double degree students, in order to graduate, must pass
IELTS with 5.0
.
Italian and English languages exams are
compulsory
, but they are considered as “extra-courses” (
not counted as credits to obtain the title!
).
According to our Administrative Committee,
double degree students may:

maintain the economic treatment scheduled by the agreements or projects
during at most one academic year after the deadline of the programme
 (special conditions for students coming from Universidad de Belgrano and Universidade de Sao Paulo).


REMEMBER:
1. to
pay the extra Polito fees
for the following years
(please contact the Incoming Office in September);
2. to
pay the 100 Euros for the IELTS certificate;

3. to fill in “RICHIESTA TESI” (thesis request) and “DOMANDA DI LAUREA” (degree request) and to pay the degree fees
before the graduation.

Fiscal code and Student card
First steps:

apply for FISCAL CODE (in Agenzia delle Entrate)
show your fiscal code to the Welcome Point (from
September 17
, from 9 to 11.30 am)
go to the Segreteria Studenti CITTADELLA with your fiscal code and with the ''International Student Personal Identification Number'' (that you can find in your page of Apply) where you can also check if you have to pay the tuition fees.


This fee is not required by Politecnico, but this is an extra-Politecnico fee and include:
EDISU services such as students canteens, computer and study rooms…;
Insurance in the Politecnico di Torino facilities;
Copyright;
Enrolment duty stamp.

Extra Polito Fees
You can pay the fees with:
credit card directly to our Segreteria Studenti (with a bank charge of 1%);
ATM card directly to our Segreteria Studenti;
The payment slip at the Post Office. In this case don’t forget to provide the receipt of the payment to the Segreteria Studenti (CITTADELLA - Corso Duca degli Abruzzi, 24) in order to obtain the student card (tessera studenti).

The fiscal code (“Codice Fiscale”) is the first step to be taken upon arrival.
The Public Administration requires it in order to identify the citizens who live in Italy.

Please remember that Architecture laboratories (workshops) + Italian language course will have as final grade “passed or not passed” (IDONEITA’ or SUPERATO).

If it is required to present such grade in /30 to the student’s Home Institution, another course should be chosen instead of those graded as “passed or not passed”.

Application (box 12) and submission at the Post office
Postal Receipt of the residence permit given by the Post Office + Fingerprinting appointment sheet for the Questura Immigration Office:
don’t miss this appointment!

Fingerprinting
Signature of the “Integration Agreement” if you spend at least 1 year in Italy
Collecting the Residence Permit Card at the Immigration Office
2 weeks after the fingerprinting you are strongly recommended to check the status of your application at the Foreign Citizens Services Unit, desks n. 1-2, at the International Affairs Department.

IMPORTANT: remember to carry with you always the
postal receipt
or your
residence permit
card and your
passport
EU citizen:
European citizens since the 11th of April 2007 must not apply for the residence permit.
They have to register at the
Registry Office
(Anagrafe) of the town of residence, if their stay in Italy is longer than 3 months.
