The Water Table When Water Tables Rise.... The Water table is the surface that divides the saturated zone and the unsaturated zone of the ground water. The entire ground water level rises at the same level and it does not matter what type of rock it is. Ground Water Groundwater is water that is found underground in the cracks and spaces in soil, sand and rock. Aquifer An aquifer is a body of saturated rock through which water can easily move. Aquifers must be both permeable and porous and include such rock types as sandstone, conglomerate, fractured limestone and unconsolidated sand and gravel. B is the right answer because it's the only answer choice where entire water table has the same level. THE END ....gud luck on TAKS :)
