Mental Health: Stress and how to deal with it

What Is it?
Stress is the body and mind's reaction to everyday demands or threats.

There are two types of stress,

benificial stress
, either physical or emotianally.

is the opposite, it's
bad stress
. It causes great pain, anxiety, or sorrow.
Example of Eustress:
Motivation to graduate from school can be good stress.
Example of Distress:
Losing someone close to you can cause a lot of bad stress.
A chemical or biological agent, environmental condition, external stimulus or an event that causes stress to an organism.
Signs of Stress:
There are many different types of stressors, including
, which can be caused by illnesses.
, which can be caused by things such as traffic or loud sounds. Deaths, divorces, and money problems are good examples of
stressors. Drugs, alcohol, and lack of excercise can be described as
personal behavior
stressors. Finally,
Cognitive thinking
stressors can be things like low self esteem issues, thinking you don't fit in, and self loathing.

Just like stressors, there are many
of stress too. The first is
signs, which can include things like excessive nervousness, anxiety, and weight gain or loss. Next would be
signs, such as being extremely tired all the time or even depressed. Lastly there's
personal behavior
, stress can cause a person to have major mood swings, they can go from happy to extremely violent or moody in a matter of minutes!
Managing stress:
Here's a couple ways to manage stress!
Physical Activity:
Excercise helps your body
systems practice interacting with eachother, in a healthy way. This directly leads to a better overall response to stress.
How to deal with stress continued...
Relaxation helps you cope with the effects of stress, it helps you cope with stress related to various health problems such as cancer.
