Owl City Owl City is an Electronica music project by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young formed in 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota. In his early years suffering from insomnia Adam Young loaded Coca-Cola trucks in his hometown Owatonna, Minnesota. Adam Young then turned to composing music. It started off when he uploaded songs, which he recorded from his parent’s basement to Myspace. How it started Fireflies Good Time Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen Not long afterwards, he started to receive a good fan base. It grew rapidly and eventually caught the attention of Universal Republic presidents Avery and Monte Lipman planning to sign him. Universal Republic recommended him to partner up with manager Steve Bursky of Foundations Artist Management. The two began working together late 2008. Road to the spotlight Owl City's SUCCESS There are two main songs that were really successful; Fireflies and Good Time. Elements of Fireflies Fireflies is a song Adam Young (Owl City) described the song as "a little song about bugs and not being able to fall asleep at night." Which hit number 1 in its 10th week and stay there for the remaining 2 weeks. It became Owl City's First number 1 single. Owl City On June 14, 2012, Adam Young announced though Twitter that he would be collaborating with Carly Rae Jepsen on a new song, claiming that it would be released on June 26, 2012. Good Time was released on iTunes on June 26, 2012. Good Time reached number 1 in Canada and New Zealand and make it to top ten in most other countries. Tempo: Fast - Along with short notes
