is an ecologically and geographically defined area that is smaller than a bio region, which in turn is smaller than an eco zone. All three of these are larger than an ecosystem. Average temperature in Jan. & July Average Rainfall Rainfall in the Coast Prairies & Marshes ranges from 30-100 inches. Animals living in the area Animals that live in the area are: Spoonbills, the Attwaters Prairie Chicken, whitetail deer, and the Salt Marsh Harvest Mouse Native plants that live in the area Coast Prairies & Marshes ecoregion is 55 in Jan. and in July it’s 75 Native plants are: tallgrass, Red buckeye, and Gulf Coast penstemon Possible catastrophic events Can be wild fire, hurricanes, wave erosion accelerates, or floods.
