1943
Plankalkui was developed by Konrad Zuse. It was the frist high-level non-von Neumann programming language for a computer
1959
Cobol (Common Business-Oriented Language)was developed by Grace Murray Hopper. It is primary used in business and finance.
1958
Algol was introducted.It was designed to avoid some of the perceived problems with FORTRAN and give chances to create many other programming languages, including Simula, C. It was also the first languages had code blocks, having the begin and end.
1972
C was developed by Dennis Ritchie. It tied to the development of the UNIX operating system. Later, there are C+ and C++
1973
ML was developed by Robin Milner. It is a general-purpose functional programming language. Today, some of the languages are based on ML such as F#
1960-1970
Software crisis happended during 1960 to 1970. It influences the code in programming languages should be easier to maintenance. Also, It encourages and supports programmers corporation together
Domain-specific languages are introduced. It is programming language dedicated to a particular problem domain or a particular solution technique. The opposition would be general-purpose programming language

J. Backus, the programmer of IBM, released that computer
program was hard to write by using code. IBM developed Fortran at their campus in south San Jose. Fortran is a general-purpose,imperative programming language that is especially suited to numeric computation and scientific computing.
