My Mom likes Doctor Who, so I interviewed her:

Liked the actor and was exciting, humorous, and fanciful.
•Which actor did you see acting as the Doctor? Tom Baker.
•Who was your favorite character? The Doctor.
•What was your favorite monster? The Daleks. The current series has special effects, non-boring episodes and new Doctors and fewer assistants. Since the series has restarted there have been three different regenerations of the Doctor:
1st season:
The 9th Doctor - Christopher Eccleston and
Rose Tyler - Billie Piper
2nd season:
The 10th Doctor - David Tennant and
Rose Tyler - Billie Piper
3rd season:
The 10th Doctor - David Tennant and
Martha Jones - Freema Agman
4th season:
The 10th Doctor - David Tennant and
Donna Noble - Catherine Tate
5th season:
The 11th Doctor - Matt Smith and
Amy Pond - Karin Gillan
6th season:
The 11th Doctor - Matt Smith and
Amy Pond - Karin Gillan and
Rory Williams - Arthur Darvill The program has quite a lot of fan clubs, two particular favorite Doctors and many viewers. There are 40 Doctor Who fan clubs. Two of the fan clubs names are the Time Meddlers and the Whovians. The favorite Doctors are the 10TH (David Tennant from 2005-2010) and the 4th (Tom Baker from 1972-1979). There are a lot of people who watch Doctor Who. During the airing of a Doctor Who Christmas Special, 10,000,000 watched it. Doctor Who is a 50 year old BBC TV show with 11 regenerations of the Doctor. In the original series the first Doctor was William Hartnell; a grandpa-ish character that acted from 1963-1966.The second Doctor was played by Patrick Trouton. He was described as imp-ish and is the current Doctor’s (Matt Smith) favorite Doctor. The third doctor was played by Jon Pertwee. He was the Doctor from 1969-1972. The fourth Doctor was played by Tom Baker. He was the most adored Doctor in the original series and was the longest actor playing the Doctor from 1972-1979. Then there were 4 less memorable Doctors: the 5th Peter Davidson; the 6th Colin Baker (not a relative of Tom Baker); the 7th Sylvester McCoy; and the 8th Paul McGann. The show is about a Timelord (a two-hearted alien who can regenerate). He travels backwards and forwards through time and space in his T.A.R.D.I.S (Time and Relative Dimensions in Space) ship, a British police callbox that’s bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. He travels with many companions; together they fight aliens and sometimes another Timelord called Master. In many episodes he fights the Daleks (little squid-ish things that are born with evil thoughts and live in almost invincible robotic armor), his arch- enemies. Doctor Who is the longest running sci-fi TV show. The original series began in 1963 and ended in 1989 and was restarted as a new more modern series in 2005 and is running currently. Doctor Who is exciting, suspenseful, and odd. Doctor Who is unique because the main character can regenerate. Doctor Who has had references in a game called Dragonvale, the TV show Big Bang Theory, and two spin-offs: Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures. There are Doctor Who conventions, auctions for different things used by the Doctors, and a lot of merchandise for sale, like sonic screwdrivers, mugs, and Halloween costumes. The Doctor can only regenerate 13 times, but the current writers have invented a new way to start an artificial regeneration cycle. Doctor Who is the longest running sci-fi TV show maybe someday it’ll be the longest show ever.
