The continuation of the metamorphosis
THE FIRST STAGE IS EGG
Ant eggs are soft, oval , and tiny.About the size of a period at the end of the sentence. Not all eggs are destinted to become adults.
THE SECOND STAGE IS LARVAE
An egg hatches into a worm. That worm is called larva. The larva hatches without leggs or eyes.
THE THIRD STAGE IS PUPPA
When a larva is large enough it metamorphoses into a pupa. pupa looks more like an adult but he is not an adult
THE FINAL STAGE
Finally the puppa emerges as an adult. The adult is the final stage.
But their are 3 more stages because the ants can turn into a queen ant, a worker ant, and a male ant.The queen ants are females that were fed more as larva. The workers ants are females that were fed less as larva. Males have wings and fly to mate with queen.
