Transcript of Waking Up in Heaven

On December 10, 2009, Crystal McVea was in the hospital with health issues when she stopped breathing for 9 minutes. She has no memory of any of the panic during that short time. All she remembers is waking up in heaven and speaking to two angels and God.
Through-out this book you will read about Crystals seemingly broken life and how through God's endless love, her life began to dramatically change for the better.
"There weren't a lot of places in the world where I felt safe, but there was one place where I always did - alongside Grandma Ernie.
Grandma Ernie was the only person in my life who always took my side. She was my champion and biggest fan."

"Grandma Ernie came in and chased Paw Paw into their bedroom where he had to watch his show on a tiny TV. And I got to watch my show on the big set."

"I want to tell her she can never fall so far that God won't catch her and love her and above all else forgive her. I want to tell her that God never stopped loving her and that His arms are still open to her if only she will choose Him. I want to tell her that with God there is always hope and always love and always forgiveness."
our worst times must also be the times when our faith in God is strongest. I didn't know that God is with us in our suffering, and that suffering can bring us even closer to Him. As hard as it can be for us to believe, our very worst moments are precisely when God's grace is most brightly revealed. "We also glory in our sufferings," it says in Romans 5:3-4, "because we know that suffering produces perseverence; perseverence, character; and character, hope." God is with us always. God never leaves us. God will never forsake us.

"I got to see the very best of the human spirit at work. I watched Virgil selflessly get cars out of the snow, and I watched total strangers come over and help us when we needed them most. I felt deeply moved by the incredible acts of kindness I had witnessed."

"That dark night on the dangerous highway, I saw the hand of God at work again, this time in his human creations. And that touched my heart and stirred my soul and made me feel blessed once again to be here among His many wonderful gifts."

"The God who is the key that will unlock their chains, if only they will raise their chains to Him."

"Before all this I wondered what it was like to be in the presence of God, and now I know that it is glorious.
And that is something
all
of us can know.
You don't have to die and go to heaven. All you have to do to be in God's presence is choose him.
All you have to do is
believe
."

"It was then that God, who had never stopped trying, very clearly came near to me."
