Focal Point / Center of Interest
The rule of thirds is applied by
aligning a subject with the guide
lines and their intersection points, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section.
Rule of Thirds
refers to a composition technique whereby the viewer's eye is attracted to lines that lead directly to the principle subject in the image.
Leading Lines
a technique used to bring focus to a subject
FRAMING
the way a viewer's eye moves through a work of art
EYE FLOW
the path the viewer’s eye takes through the artwork, often to a focal area. It can be directed along lines, edges, shapes and color
