Transcript of Flipping a Conference Session?

..
Session Two:
Collaboration Problems
How could it be done?
Flipping a Conference Session
The Flipped Conference Session
A conversation among presenters, educators, and learners as to the possibilities and limits of flipping a conference session...
BRAINSTORM
ELEMENTS
copy and paste as needed and take advantage of an infinite canvas!
A thoughtful breakout session facilitated at the 2014 OSU Innovate conference. #innovateOSU
Why this topic?
What are our goals?
We all spend a lot of time at conferences
Many of us get the lion's share of our professional development through conferences

Yet: Pure-lecture format does not jibe with what we know about {adult} learning!
( And it gets to be a bit boring after a day or two or three... )

What have we learned about technology and 21 Century learning?
Can we apply what we are learning?
Learn / do / repeat...
This is as close to the goal as I've been able to get by myself...
Interact and think
Crowd-source
Get a better understanding of options and limitations
Determine what methods and tools might already be in place
Make recommendations
Make a difference
Topics
One: Benefits and Risks
Two: Collaboration Problems
Three: Collaboration Solutions

Put It All Together!
SEVEN minutes -- Based on what you've discussed in this session, create an OUTLINE for a flipped conference session that YOU could use

and we'll discuss,
and wrap up.
(as time allows...)
Then...
Shall we continue the conversation?
Session One: Initial Results
Thank You!!
