Detours.' After starting the band, he also
got Townshend, Moon, and Entwistle to join
the band. After a few name changes, they
formed “The Who.” The band ended up

60s, but continues to play his guitar. John Entwistle John Entwistle was born on October 9th, 1944 in Cheswick, England. In the 60’s he joined The Who with John Entwistle and Roger Daltrey. He was the bass guitarist of the band. He played with the band until 1982. He came back to do a reunion tour with The Who in 1989. He later made his own single, and formed another group. In June 27th 2002, John Entwistle died in Las Vegas from a heart attack. In honor of him Townshend and Daltrey played with Entwistle’s band for the remainder of the tour.

Besides playing for the The Who, he also did some work with Led Zeppelin’s future band members. He released his own single in 1975, but it was short lived because he died in 1978 from an overdose of a drug that was meant to help him stop drinking alcohol.
