Later we will learn how to share files with others.

The first step is to sign up for a Dropbox account. The account is free and gives you 2MB of storage.

You can house videos, documents, and images in this space.

Since it is housed in the cloud, you can access it anytime from anywhere with an internet connection. To create your account you will need to enter your first and last name, your email account, and a password. You must also agree to Dropbox's terms. After you have entered your information, click "Create Account". After you create your account, Dropbox will prompt you to download the Dropbox application to your computer desktop. This is not a necessary step to take. You can download this application at a later time.

Instead, click the Dropbox logo in the upper left hand corner of the screen. This will take you to your Dropbox homepage. After you click the upload button, a pop up box will appear.

Click "Choose files" and find the file on your computer or device.

Then after you choose your file, click "Open ". Now Dropbox will automatically upload the file.
An 8-minute video takes about 1 minute to upload.

Once your file is uploaded successfully, it will highlight green, and a check mark in a green box will appear. The green circle also means your files are up to date.

Now, your file will be added to your homepage. The next step is to create your URL link. This is the link you will use to share your video with your classmates and instructor. After you create your link, you can copy/paste it out of your browser and send it to your classmates and instructor. You can also share your link in a more advanced way.
