Written in 3 parts:
The Preamble
The Rights of Man/Woman
The List of Abuses
First sentence.
Shortest part of the DOI.
Explains to the world why they felt the need to break away.
Second part of the DOI.
Longer than the Preamble.
Explains what the rebels believed to be the rights of humans.
Social Contract!
3rd and longest part.
Listed the things that King George had done so the world could judge their decision to rebel.
