Raw Data Does exposure to music affect the height of bean plants? If so, does
the type of music have an effect?
H0: There is no difference in total growth between plants that hear music and plants that don’t.
HA: There is a difference in total growth between plants that hear music and plants that don’t.
2 Sample T-Test
Six seedlings in each experimental group; 10 groups total: Control Group

Six bean plants were placed into each experimental group
Fourty-five plants were placed into control group
All groups received equal amounts of sunlight
Watered once a day at 7:15 pm
When a group received its treatment (i.e. music), it was separated from the experimental population for the duration of its assignment (15-60 minutes)
Groups listening to more than 15 minutes of music a day received treatment in 30 minute blocks

There is insufficient evidence to suggest that playing music has an effect on the height of bean sprouts at the .05 significance level. Fail to reject null hypothesis.
However, since the sample size was so small, the experiment should be repeated with a larger population to determine if a relationship exists.
