Luke 2:9-14
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
Christmas In Germany
Christmas in Germany starts on December 6th, the Children leave letters on their windowsills for an angel called Christkind, wholeaves gifts. Germans make beautiful gingerbread houses and cookies. The German Christmas tree pastry, Christbaumgeback, is a white dough that can be baked for tree decorations. other than Christkind, There is also a Christmas Eve figure called Weihnachtsmann or Christmas Man, he looks like Santa Claus, he also brings gifts. On Christmas Eve the children go to bed but are woken up at midnight by their parents and taken down to the room they lock before going to bed. The door is opened and they see the tree all lit up, with piles of parcels on little tables. In Germany, boys dress up as kings and carry a star around their village, singing carols.
