The Importance of Standards
There are educational standards set in place to ensure that all students receive and education that touches on all aspects of the subjects.
The standards ensure that teachers and students learn, asses, create, communicate, and evaluate using all types of technology.
Influence on Teaching
Digital age learning experiences, applications, and assessments
New age professionalism
Appropriate use (moral, legal, professional)
Use a variety of technologies
Look at things on a global level
Working with others productively
Due to the standard I will be more likely to use tools such as iPads. I also believe that my teaching will be more interactive and I will do more with technology to stay in contact with the community.
Standard II.b: Use technology to communicate information in a variety of standards
Create a wiki page for all of my classes so that students and parents can refer to papers sent home as well as online when they have questions.

Provide students with opportunities to create projects without have to follow a rubric so that their ideas of presentation are not limited.
Use a variety of technologies in the classroom
Promote and demonstrate safe use of all technologies
Ensure that all students are engaging in activities
It is important to keep up with the changes in technology so that students can effectively operate in society.
