History is here is important too By: anindita singh History is an important thing in our lives. Many people think that it doesnt matter if we learn about it or not. But it DOES matter! What happens in our past is considered history. Things that we are doing or achieving right now will be history in years to come. "The past is useless. That explains why it is past." Wright Morris Some examples of history could be the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas. These groups developed new ways of life that we learned from for today. If it weren't for them we could be living on the streets. We study history because it is important to learn about the past and through it- why we are here, and who we really are. By learning about the achievements in days gone by, we can reflect on the present world, and through this reflection, look to the future. What is history? Why do we study it? I believe that last quote is not right because to some people the past is very important and can tell stories and memories of their family and their past. ASSESSMENT OVERVIEW
