Opinion Essay
Intro
In the first paragraph you present the topic and state your opinion clearly.
The body of the essay
In the second paragraph you state the opinion of other people, which is different from yours (arguments against).
The body of the essay
In the third paragraph you present your viewpoints and give reasons/examples. Three reasons, three body paragraph. Each of the body paragraphs should take one of your reasons and explain it in more detail, giving an example or illustration to back it up
Conclusion
Former Newfoundland premier Joey Smallwood once said about giving speeches: "First I tell them what I'm going to tell them, then I tell them, then I tell them what I told them." That's how you write an essay. Restate your opinion and remind the reader what your three reasons were.
