Anemia can be caused by blood loss, decreased or faulty red blood cell production, and destruction of red blood cells. There are many forms of anemia, each with its own cause. Anemia can be temporary or long term, and ranges from mild to severe. Symptoms range from some fatigue and loss of energy,to unusually rapid heart beat, (particularly with exercise), shortness of breath and headache,(also w/exercise), difficulty concentrating, dizziness, leg cramps, pale skin, and insomnia. SYMPTOMS DIAGNOSIS You could receive blood tests(CBC count), genetic tests and counseling, urine analysis, and bone marrow biopsy to determine if you have the disorder.
