Physics in Architecture
What is an Architect?
An architect makes plans for buildings and construction. Regularly architects also oversee the construction to make sure the design is going well.
How does Physics exist in Architecture?
It is important for architects to understand physics for three key reasons:
First reason is that it is helpful to understand the fundamentals of physics and how physics can be applied to structures and buildings
The second valuable use of physics within Architecture is the ability to broaden knowledge of the physical world around oneself
It also enhances critical thinking skills
How is any of that useful?
Being able to understand what is around us is very useful in the real world as well as in the life of an architect. Buildings need to be built with an understanding of how things move, react and change.
It is also very valuable to be able to think outside of the box. Many of the greatest architects were first disliked for their ideas and designs but are now famous.
Who are some famous architects?
Frank Lloyd Wright
Known for his prairie style construction
Known for Unusual Fabrications
Most well known for being a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
Famous for his lead role on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
How does this interest me?
I have always thought that architecture would be an interesting field to work in. Unfortunately understanding mathematical concepts is important to this job and I'm mathematically challenged.
What are my college Requirements?
Architects must have a Bachelor of Architecture and an architecture license before they can practice
Regularly a form of a Professional Degree Program is also needed
Thank you all for watching this.
It means a lot to me and my self confidence.
