The Fault in Our Stars
Ronan - Taylor Swift
Clouds - Zach Sobiech
Enchanted - Taylor Swift
"Ronan"
About the song
Taylor Swift wrote the song "Ronan" about a four year old boy that past away in 2011, after a battle with neuroblastoma. After Ronan's passing his mother, Maya Thompson, started a blog about him to work through the grief. All of the lyrics are taken from Thompson's entries. The song was released after the Stand Up to Cancer Telethon and all the proceeds of the song go towards cancer charities.

"Enchanted"
About the song
"Enchanted" by Taylor Swift is about being grateful and happy to have met your crush. It is a song about a young love and the feelings of excitement for a person you like. Taylor is known for her love songs and usually writes from her own experiences with boys and life.
relationship
"Enchanted" by Taylor Swift and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green have a similar love story. In the song Taylor is singing about being glad she had meet her crush, much like Hazel Grace. Hazel believed that she was lucky to have met Augustus Waters, even if it was for a short time period she is grateful to have met her crush.
Music that Relates

"Ronan" by Taylor Swift relates to The Fault in Our Stars because both are about cancer. I believe that Ronan's story told through a song is very similar to Agustus Waters tragic journey. Both boys died from cancer at a young age and left a great scare on their family and friends.
Well I fell down, down, down
Into this dark and lonely hole
There was no one there to care about me anymore
And I needed a way to climb and grab a hold of the edge
You were sitting there holding a rope

And we'll go up, up, up
But I'll fly a little higher
We'll go up in the clouds because the view is a little nicer
Up here my dear
It won't be long now, it won't be long now

When I get back on land
Well I'll never get my chance
Be ready to live and it'll be ripped right out of my hands
Maybe someday we'll take a little ride
We'll go up, up, up and everything will be just fine

And we'll go up, up, up
But I'll fly a little higher

We'll go up in the clouds because the view is a little nicer
Up here my dear

It won't be long now, it won't be long now
If only I had a little bit more time
If only I had a little bit more time with you

We could go up, up, up
And take that little ride
And sit there holding hands
And everything would be just right
And maybe someday I'll see you again
We'll float up in the clouds and we'll never see the end

And we'll go up, up, up
But I'll fly a little higher
We'll go up in the clouds because the view is a little nicer
Up here my dear
It won't be long now, it won't be long now
I remember your bare feet down the hallway
I remember your little laugh
Race cars on the kitchen floor, plastic dinosaurs
I love you to the moon and back

I remember your blue eyes looking into mine
Like we had our own secret club
I remember you dancing before bed time
Then jumping on me, waking me up

I can still feel you hold my hand, little man
And even the moment I knew
You fought it hard like an army guy
Remember I leaned in and whispered to you

Come on baby with me, we're gonna fly away from here
You were my best four years

I remember the drive home
When the blind hope turned to crying and screaming "Why?"
Flowers pile up in the worst way, no one knows what to say
About a beautiful boy who died

And it's about to be Halloween
You could be anything you wanted if you were still here
I remember the last day when I kissed your face
And whispered in your ear

Come on baby with me, we're gonna fly away from here
Out of this curtained room in this hospital grey, we'll just disappear
Come on baby with me, we're gonna fly away from here
You were my best four years

What if I'm standing in your closet trying to talk to you?
What if I kept the hand-me-downs you won't grow into?
And what if I really thought some miracle would see us through?
What if the miracle was even getting one moment with you?

Come on baby with me, we're gonna fly away from here
Come on baby with me, we're gonna fly away from here
You were my best four years

I remember your bare feet down the hallway
I love you to the moon and back
"Clouds" was written by a talented young man named, Zack Sobiech. At the age of seventeen, Sobiech found out he has a rare form of bone cancer and after months of battling he pasted away in 2012. Zach wrote and recorded "Clouds" before his passing as a way to say goodbye to his family and friends. The is a heartbreaking song that touched many, Zach knew he was close to his death and could only wish to someday meet his family again"Maybe someday I’ll see you again...We’ll fly up in the clouds and we’ll never see the end.”
"Clouds" by Zach Sobiech and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green are alike. I believe Zach represents Augustus Waters, both seventeen year old's that battle cancer but unfortunately do not survive. Zach had a wish to record a song and be remembered when he is gone which was Augustus's dream too. Like Zach, Augustus knew he was going to die and instead of writing a song for a farewell he held a mock funeral with his close friends; they both wanted a proper goodbye.
There I was again tonight forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy
Vanished when I saw your face

All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you

Your eyes whispered "have we met?" across the room your silhouette
Starts to make it's way to me
The playful conversation starts counter all your quick remarks
Like passing notes in secrecy

And it was enchanting to meet you
All I can say is I was enchanted to meet you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

The lingering question kept me up 2am, who do you love?
I wonder till I'm wide awake
Now I'm pacing back and forth, wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say,

It was enchanting to meet you
All I know is I was enchanted to meet you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew

Extra
An eighteen year old boy from Australia named, Troye Sivan, wrote a song about the novel The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
It has become an internet sensation and was promoted by the author himself.

This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

This is me praying that this was the very first page
Not where the story line ends
My thoughts will echo your name until I see you again
These are the words I held back as I was leaving too soon

I was enchanted to meet you
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
Please don't be in love with someone else
