90% income loss and production had been experienced by fishermen operating in Laguna de Bay and 30% of their catch compromises the knife fishes. By doing this project, not only the researchers can help the fishermen regain their livelihood but also the government in solving the crisis.
Materials and Methods
A. Collection & Preparation of the Knife Fish
Scope and Limitation
This study will focus on the effectiveness of
(Knife fish) as the main raw material in liquid fertilizer that will be made using the Fish Emulsion Method in Monggo plant.
Knife fish is freshwater
specie that can be usually seen as an aquarium fish especially at home but can live with low oxygen availability. In 2009, it was introduced to Laguna de Bay and by 2012 caused a number of 2, 519 fishermen to suffer by its infestation in the lake causing an income downgrade of Php 1, 050 per knife fish kilo.
The researchers will immediately go to a part of Laguna de Bay in Taytay, Rizal to get knife fish samples.
Then start the fish emulsion method.
And observe the effectiveness of extracted liquid fertilizer.
If allowed, the researchers will observe the Monggo plant more than a week to clearly see the significant difference in terms of the growth of the plant.
