Development of PKP
The most widely used measures of intelligence are foreign based

The situation in the country is inevitable due to the scarcity of the Filipino made intelligence

Thus, development of a tool that is truly Filipino in nature and orientation becomes a challenge in the field of education.

Development of PKP
This instrument was developed to validate the mental ability of Filipinos whose ages range from 16 and above

It is intended for use in school setting, business and industry as well as in any other situation where assessment of intelligence of an adult Filipino is called for

Talasalitaan (Vocabulary)
A test of ability to deal with words and their meaning as used in the sentence

Ugnayan (Analogy)
A test of skill in perceiving relationships

Kakayahan sa mga bilang (Numerical Ability)
A test of proficiency along application of basic mathematical concepts and processes in various problem-solving situations within the sphere of Filipino experiences

The test may be administered individually or in groups

The total working time for the test is 52 minutes

The test can be scored either manually or by using computerized scorer.

The split-half technique confirms the reliability of the instrument.

The reliability coefficients obtained from the four subtest range from .80 in vocabulary and .98 in non-verbal area.
