The Republic of Haiti The flag is made up of two stripes of red and blue, with a white rectangle in the middle with palm trees and cannons with the motto L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE (Union Makes Strength); the colors are taken from the French Tricolor and represent the union of blacks and mulattoes Taino American Indians inhabited the island of Hispaniola before Christopher Columbus came and annhilated them all. Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere The Republic of Haiti
is situated in the Caribbean, just west of the Dominican Republic The population of Haiti is 9,719,932 people Roman Catholicism is the major religion practiced and half the population practices VOODOO. The two official languages of Haiti are French and Creole. The capital is Port-au-Prince It lies in the middle of the hurricane belt Unfortunetly, there are frequent storms, hurricanes, flooding, and occasionally droughts. "La Dessalinienne" Haitians sing as their national anthem. Haiti has a free market economy: however the unemployment rate is 40.6 percent of the populations THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!! yayy
