Group 1 Grievances
He has refused his assent to laws the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
What is each complaint about? Write a brief description of each complaint in your own words.
Question 1
The "He" that the colonists refer to is King George the Third.
Who is "He" that the colonists refer to in the grievances?
They are blaming King George III. They are blaming him because he is the one causing all of the problems.
Who are the colonists blaming for their grievances? Why do you think they are blaming him?
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
Complaint 1:

He didn't comply to the laws.
Complaint 2:

He purposely made the legislatures go out of their way to tire them out so they could agree with him.
Complaint 3:

For going against him and his invasions of people's rights, he dissipated the House.
