Figurative Language
By: Nicole Nataren Ed Sheeran - The A Team Simile Symbolism Cliche Imagery Hyperbole But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries

Message- A girl is falling apart, like the delicate
texture of a pastry

Its a simile because its comparing her face to crumbling pastries. The worst things in life come free to us.

Message- That you have to be care because we get the worst things for free

Its a cliche because its an over used meaning that people use, and cliches are like that.

It's too cold outside
For angels to fly
Angels to fly

Message- The angel is her. So her life is too hard for her to excel.
She has too many problems to
"fly", to feel free.

I think that its a hyperbole because its exaggerating how hard it is for her to excel White lips, pale face
Breathing in snowflakes
Burnt lungs, sour taste

Message- A girl losing her innocence and youth.

I think this is an example of symbolism because these things are symbolizing her as she loses her innocence. Lights gone, days end

Message- It shows that its no longer day time.

Its an example of imagery because when you hear this you can kinda picture it in your head. Sources:
