What he was known for...
Andrew Carnegie was a 19 century steel tycoon who became one of the 20 century's most famous philanthropists. His life story is one of the most famous rags-to-riches accounts in United States history.In 1859,Carnegie succeeded in businesses, including coal, iron and oil companies and a manufacturer of railroad sleeping cars.In other words, Andrew Carnegie is known for making the cars.
"The Steel Magnet"
In the early 1870s, Carnegie co-founded his first steel company located near Pittsburgh.Over the next few decades, he created a steel empire,in 1892 Andrew formed his primary holdings,which were consolidated to form Carnegie Steel Company.In other words, he was called "The steel magnet"

Andrew Carnegie, Born on November 25, 1835 in Dunfermline, Scotland.In 1848 The Carnegie family moved to America in search of better economic opportunities, And then settled in Allegheny city, now known as Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Andrew Carnegie's education ended when he left Scotland where he had no more than a few years schooling. soon found employment working as a Bobbin boy at a cotton factory. Only earning 1. 20 a week.

The way Andrew Carnegie Worked.

Carnegie worked in a Pittsburgh cotton factory when he was a young boy. He also worked in the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1859. While working in the railroad he invested in various ventures including iron and oil companies and made his first fortune by the time he was in his early 30's. In 1870's he entered the steel business.

Final years
Carnegie's mother who was a major influence in his life, who lived with him until her death in 1886.On August 11, 1919, at Shadow brook,Carnegie died at the age of 83 he was buried at Sleepy Hallow Cemetery in North Tarry town New York.
