Transcript of SMALL WIN

Introduction
Securing a small, early win is the fifth step of the eight steps essential to leading change. The small win can help get staff stay motivate, re-motivate staff, and help resistors see the benefits of the change and get them motived to continue on with the change strategy. Weick explains that small wins help to create an environment where change is not overwhelming and therefore more likely to happen ( as cited in McKinney, 2009).

Conclusion
Securing a small, early win within an organization during the change process should be a necessary tool to use. Sprio (2011), states that a mistake organizations should avoid is not planning for the small wins (p. 94). In the previous presentation I created a positive, meaningful Prezi to help the staff see that the change strategy in place is heading in the right direction.
The process will include:

~The purchase, installation and integration of technology hardware to increase teacher and student access

~Teacher training on the effective use and integration of technology into classroom instruction and practices
Project activities will include:

Hire full-time technology coaches to support teacher training
Hire a technology technician to ensure access
Create learning labs
Install interactive boards in elementary classrooms
Equip every elementary classroom with devices to support instruction
Provide all teachers access to laptops for classroom use
Ottumwa Regional Legacy Foundation awarded Ottumwa Schools $1.37 million to support instruction over the next three years

All OCSD have installed and working PrometheanBoards

STUDENTS
