What is a scientist?

Why is it important for units to be standardized when measuring? (TSC)
This is where we develop the question or problem we are going to investigate or study
Consider all data that might help answer the question or problem.

Use the information in your research to form a possible answer to your question or problem.
A lot of times a well written hypothesis will have an if then statement. For example If I put fertilizer on the flower then the flower will grow taller..

This is where you test your hypothesis.

You must have a step by step procedure to follow. Your procedure must be very specific.

Must have an Independent variable - A part of the experiment that can vary or change. You have control over this part of the experiment. For example - The height you drop a ball

Dependent Variable - Depends on the independent variable. For example - how high the ball bounces after you drop it from different heights
Analyze or Record Data
Record the results of your experiment.

Create tables and graphs with data collected from the experiment.
Write down a description of the conditions you thought would and did happen during the experiment. Write down your feelings and observations you made. You also need to explain the facts and figures from the tables and graphs
Examine your written data and decide if your hypotheses was correct and why. What surprised you about your data? What changes would you make if you did the experiment again?
