His Grandma Thora saved his artwork. Biography Biography The Many Jobs he had He started illustrating books for authors in 1969. Marc Tolon Brown was born
in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1946. He married Laurie Kransy 6 years later and had a daughter named Eliza. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1968
He married Stephanie Marini and had Tolon and Tucker together
Divorced after 9 years Today... After 5 years, he started to write his own books.
He came up with the story of Arthur one night when his son Tolon wanted to hear a bedtime story.
His first book, “Arthur’s Nose,” came out in 1976. How the idea of Arthur was born The Journey of Arthur Successful children’s book author and illustrator for 20 years In 1995, he helped produce an Arthur TV show on PBS
During the first 8 years of show airing, book sales increased from 5 million to 60 million.
The show has continued with his son Tolon who has become an Emmy Award-winning executive director with his wife (who is also an author and illustrator) and their daughter Is he working on any new stories?
