EMPTY BOWLS PROJECT Cartersville, GA September 25, 2011 Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. Over 300 bowls will be at the Cartersville Civic Center. Bowls are being made by potters, teachers, and students. Local Potters:
Triny Cline Jayme Laney and Erin Spangler A ticket to the event will cost $20. The food will be
provided by some of
our favorite local restaurants. Noon until 3pm: Lunch is served! The Cartersville Civic Center
on West Main Street. All the money will go to Backpack Buddies! Food for the whole weekend! Ronnie Payne Eleanor Long

770-606-5800 Ext. 4902 The basic premise is simple: Potters and other craftspeople, educators and others work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. Guests are invited to a simple meal of soup and bread. In exchange for a cash donation, guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world.
