were different. A long time ago they believed that girls did not have to go to school. They stay home and clean and cook. The boys however did go to school and learned abut religion.Also in school they learned how to read and some towns set up a university so they could learn science, math, and writing. In the New England colonies the farms would raise and sell a lot of fish. In the Middle Colonies they sold a lot of wheat,barley, oats, rye, corn, and flour. In the Southern Colonies they sold a lot of tobacco, indigo, and rice.
