Transcript of 10 Literary Devices in the Lion King

"Long Live the King"
An alliterattion has the same repeating letter as in Long and Live in the quote "Long Live the King"
Personification is giving inanimate object human-like qualities. In the lion king, personification is shown by allowing all of the animals to speak. For example, Simba, which is a lion, speaks and sings throughout the movie.
Breaking the 4th wall
"Hakuna Matata"
In the Lion King, Timon and Pumba taught Simba their motta, Hakuna Matata, which means no worries! So one of the lessons of the movie would be to have no worries.

A conflict, or problem, in the Lion King would be when Scar makes the hyenas start a stampede where Simba is helplessly waiting because he knows Mufasa will save him, furthermore allowing Scar to push Mufasa into the stampede, killing him.

Exposition is the part of the story that introduces background information. The exposition of the Lion King would be when Mufasa stands on Pride Rock and Rafiki holds up the Lion King's son, Simba, as the animals of the Pride Lands celebrate the birth of their future king.
The climax, or the highest point in the story, in the Lion King would be when Simba challenges Scar for the throne!
The part in the lion king when Pumba says, "Pumba, not infront of the kids!"
Theme is a common thread or repeated idea that is incorperated into the literary work. I believe that the theme to the Lion King is life. Simba goes through loss, hardship, obtaining new friends, betrayal, and love. All these being factors of life!
Deus Ex Machina
Deus Ex Machina is an unexpected event that saves a hopeless situation. In the lion king, scars hyenas unexpectedly realize how bad scar is, turn on him, and kill him.
Foreshadowing is a piece of literary work that references to a future event. In the lion king, Simba sings the song, "I just can't wait to be king," then his father dies and he is really not ready to be king.
