p.1 Evolution of the Camera Photography comes from the Greek words photos meaning "light" and graphein meaning "to draw". It is a method of recording images by the action of light on a sensitive material. General Info Timeline 10th Century - The first Pinhole Camera was created.

1928 - The first Film Camera was created.

1975 - The first Digital Camera was created.

1986 - The first Digital SLR Camera was created. Went from manually exposing light to creating auto exposure.

Went from film to digital.

Created the flash for taking photos in dark places.

You can take photos while recording videos. Major Changes Used for newspapers, magazines, books.

Tourists sites for places that people can't afford to go to.
