TITANIUM IS THE 9TH MOST ABUNDANT ELEMENT IN THE EARTHS CRUST TITANIUM IS A SHINY, DARK-GRAY METAL. William Gregor was the first to discover Titanium In 1791, he lived in England. He first named it 'manaccanite'. It was discovered in a black sand known as ilmenite. The German chemist Martin Klaproth rediscovered Gregor's new metal and named it titanium. WHAT IS TITANIUM?
