E&P companies don’t have customers…they have holes in the ground!!!! WellMetrics takes the concept from M-Files Customer Object and creates a Well Object.
Set up the meta data by discipline which is vital to how an E&P company lives, breathes, thinks and operates.
Leverage the E&P Systems of Record by the creation of a well object. The unique ID of each well is known as an API Number (American Petroleum Institute)
Well object is central to finding everything in the E&P vault
Auto population of key fields from systems of record makes M-Files the perfect replacement for the windows file system
Corporate policy, all documents concerning a well is stored in the M-Files vault!
WellMetrics leverages M-Files Connectivity through views. This makes integration from WellMetrics Silverlight application possible.
Final Steps
Use of M-Files Application Programming Interface which allows WellMetrics to instantiate the Client version of M-Files using an URL.
We utilize three different views to accomplish the instantiation of M-Files to correct document or class.

Instantiate M-Files

/107 is the object ID of the View
/1 is the object ID of the Well
/3 is the object ID of the Class
Web service queries the M-Files database to find the Object Number of a well based API number.
