The Interlopers- Georg Znaeym
Transcript of The Interlopers- Georg Znaeym
This fablelike story begins as two families have a conflict over a piece of invaluable land between the Gradwitz's and the Znaeym's. Both families hunt in this poor land because they both think its rightfully theirs. Until the nephews of each family meet, Ulrich and Georg. They both came to defend their land armed and face to face. Unexpectedly, a dead branch falls on them leaving Georg and Ulrich for
prey in the lifeless forest.
He is very egotistic because all throughout the story he was so self righteous about the useless land being owned by his family for all these years when really neither of the two families owned it. Georg even wanted Ulrich dead when he hinted " When they drag me out from under these damned branches it won't need much clumsiness on their part to roll this mass of trunk right over on the top of you."
Georg proves that he is stubborn because in the story when Ulrich offers him his flask he said "and in any case I don't drink wine with an enemy." This is a prime example he's stubborn because he chooses to turn down something when it would help him recover.
After all the pent up hatred
he had for Ulrich he shows that he a very considerate person. He demonstrates this by when he says "You would come and keep the Sylvester night beneath my roof..." ( Inviting him over as his guest).
Georg shows he's fearless in the story when he wants to hunt his neighbour (Ulrich) down in the corrupted forest when he knows Ulrich and his gang is hunting him too.
Georg shows he is forgiving because in the story Ulrich asked for his forgiveness after centuries of the two families fighting.
Forgiven by Relient K
This Song relates to the story because when the song said "Cause we're all guilty of the same things we think the thoughts whether or not we see them through and I know that I have been forgiven and I hope you can forgive me too" This is a perfect example of Georg and Ulrich relationship.
"Gang Fight At the Beach"
This article relates to the story because in this article 2 gangs for fighting over the land which in this case was the beach."The fight you observed (actually there were two fights at two different locations) involved two groups of 10 to 15 street gang members from Harbor City and Wilmington"
