Internet Safety

Main points
CYBER BULLYING
Don't be mean to others on the internet.
If you have a problem with someone else, sort it out face to face. Don't get revenge on the internet.
If someone is bothering you online and you don't know what to do, than you should go tell a responsible adult
passwords
Never share your password with anyone else (not even your best friends or family)
You should make a strong password that no one can guess (Don't use addresses or birthdays)
Your password should be at lest 8 or more characters, it should have letters, numbers and symbols, it should NOT be a word from any dictionary and it should NOT have repeating letters or numbers (ex. 3333 or AAAA)
IF You HAVE AN EMAIL
OR
WHEN YOU GET AN EMAIL
The Internet and privacy
Anything and everything you post online is public and never private
You can never completely delete anything you post online
so THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK
If your grandmother would not be okay with it, than you should NOT post it

Never open pop up windows
Always search what you are looking for in the search engine (use the keyboard)
Pop up ads can actually be a virus, so when you open them you are letting a virus enter your computer
Never open an email if you don't know who sent it
Don't ever accept friend requests online if you have never actually met the person (seeing their pictures does not count)

If someone is bothering you online tell a responsible adult
Make a strong password (8 characters long, letters, numbers and symbols, should not be a word from a dictionary, and no repeating numbers or letters) and NEVER EVER share your your password with anyone
Once you post something online, you can never ever delete it
Never open up pop up ads
Don't open emails from strangers
