The most unforgettable experience stays fresh in my memory all the time. I will remember the experience of being lost at an old house all my life. It was a dark and cold night. My best friend, Syahira suggested that we go to the old house near to her house. All my friends agreed with her suggestion and we went to the old house together.
At first we just wanted to go around the house but suddenly Zarina want to enter to the house because want to see something in the house. Sofia and I refused to enter the old house but after Syahira and Zarina persuaded us, we agreed with their crazy idea.
We entered to the old house. It was very dark and scary in the house. The house was very big and there were many rooms in the house. Then, Syahira and Zarina decided to enter one of room in upstairs. So, we entered the room together. There were many toys in the room. We thought that all of the toys is belongs to a son of a couple that had passed away 5 years ago. All of the neighbours do know where their son after they passed away cause of an accident.
Suddenly, we heard something. Maybe there were someone else in the house besides us at the time. I felt want to cry loudly but Sofia asked me to try relax my mind and recite Quran verses to protect ourselves while Zarina and Syahira tried to find the way to went out from the house.
A few minutes later, we heard someone knock the main door in downstairs. We felt very nervous and we ran to the next room. We thought that the ghost of a couple came to their house and want to kill us. I was scared to death. The only idea in my brain was that it was the end of my life. It was impossible for me to get out of from the house. Even though Syahira and Zarina had tried to find the door but they failed to find the way to went out from the house. We closed our eyes and cried loudly because we felt very frightened.
Then, we saw a man with a torch stood in front of us. At first, it frightened us stiff. We dared not open our eyes until he came to pat us on our shoulders and told us that if we were lost in the house, he would help us to find the way back. At that moment, I was relieved because I knew I wouldn’t stay in the scary house forever. Then I had opened my eyes and I saw the man. He is my father. I hug my father and cried loudly on his shoulders.
I felt very grateful because my father came to save us. He said that he saw we entered the scary old house. It was very dangerous for us as teenagers and anything can happen to us. So, he came to save us from anything bad. We promised to him that we did not do it anymore. It was really an unforgettable experience in my life.

A New Arrival
We were all excited. Our elder sister Morgana was in the labor ward. The doctor had announced that the baby would arrive by morning. My brother in-law, Ram was a bundle of nerves. In fact everyone was excited except dear old Grandma; she took complete charge of the situation. She knew exactly what to do, and say, to make us more nervous and anxious. My father was sitting on the bench not talking to anyone; it was the apple of his eye in there groaning in pain and the old man was pretty upset about it.
The time ticked by slowly. We looked at our watches after what we seemed like long periods of time and noticed every time that only a few minutes had gone by. Some of us stretched out on the benches, the floor and anywhere we could find space. Only my father seemed to be able to keep sleep away at 3.00 in the morning; not surprising since he is an army chap.
Then we all heard it: a shrill cry rang out through the night. “The baby has arrived ” said Grandma and we all hurried to the door. The nurse came out soon enough with a small bundle. “It’s a girl,” she said with a broad smile and showed us a small face. I noticed instantly that she looked like her mother. The nurse was firm in not letting anyone go in and see my sister. “ You can come in the morning,” she said and herded us out.
The next morning we were up with the sun. All except Dad, he had not slept at all so he was up all the time. We went to the hospital and, as usual, Grandma took charge. She knew what to bring for the baby and for the mother. Everyone went in and saw my sister after the ordeal she had just been through. She managed a weak smile and we kiss her one by one. Then we went to the nursery and looked at the new addition to the family.
The Most Memorable Experience in My Life
Perhaps, since I am a high school student, somebody might say that I have my entire life ahead of me, with all of its beautiful experiences. But, despite being so young, I already have a personal breath-taking experience, which, I am sure, I will carry with me until my last days. What I am talking about here is my first hike to the mountains.
Though traveling is not a big deal today, and lots of my peers rolled over the whole US or even abroad, before my trip I used to be a homebody. I had friends to hang out with, several hobbies, and I felt completely comfortable about spending weeks or even months in my hometown – or sometimes even on my block – without going anywhere. All my demands of novelty were satisfied by the Discovery and National Geographic channels, and I seriously thought that there was no difference between seeing something on the TV or with one’s own eyes.
The situation changed when one day David, my best pal who always got a couple of colourful bugs in his head (or, in other words, was always carrying out several crazy plans at once) tumbled into my room and proclaimed his neglect towards civilization. I will not describe how he managed to persuade me to join him in his journey to the Rocky Mountains; all I’ll say is that we departed in five days.
This was my first time in the mountains, so I was turning my head in all directions. Unfortunately, the weather was foggy all the time, and the higher we got into the mountains, the worse the visibility was. Even despite this fact I still enjoyed the hike – I felt like I was Bear Grylls, whose show I used to watch with excitement: in the wild, with food and water in my backpack, carrying a flashlight and a knife. In the first day we were making our way along the foothills; but, the next day we started to climb on one of the peaks. Though it was not very steep and high, I still was excited. I regularly hastened, and because of that I ran out of energy long before we got to the top; David, on the other hand was more reasonable.
When we finally got to the top, nothing had really changed. The same fog was covering everything around us, and even though I was full of positive emotions, caused by the hike, I felt disappointed because I counted on seeing the view from above and perhaps being able to take some photos. We spent a couple of hours on the top, and decided to turn back, when the wind suddenly dispersed the clouds, and the plateau we were standing on became illuminated with the sun. I saw a fantastic panorama in front of me, and for some moments I couldn’t believe my eyes. Seeing all those mountain ridges, cliffs, and edges on my own, not on TV, was like a revelation for me. The strong wind blew right into my face, and I just stood there and watched shreds of fog gliding over the ground far beneath me. At that moment I realized that I won’t be able to live a life without visiting the mountains at least twice a year.
The next day we returned – my legs started to hurt so bad that I could hardly walk. But every time as my face wrinkled because of an ache, I remembered the feeling of being high above, with my head touching the skies and the clouds swimming below. And I smiled at myself and my first hiking experience.
