My Bucket List
Take Me Out To The Ball Game
Before the end of the year I hope to go to a Rangers game. So many people have been, and it sounds like a lot of fun. I think it would be a good experience to do with my dad because we both love baseball.
Surf's Up!
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be able to surf. I love the beach and want to learn how to surf. I know how hard it is and would teach me to be persistent and to not give up even when the going gets rough.
Class of 2021!
After high school, I plan to go to collage. I don't want to go to collage in Texas because I don't really like Texas and I want to experience other states. Going to collage somewhere beside where I have lived all my life will help me become a more independent person.
It's a girl!
I hope to eventually get married and have a family. This is important to me because I love kids and want my own one day. I have watched my parents raise two kids of their own, and while it doesn't always look easy, it looks like a good experience and something that would help me grow as a person.
Big Green Tractor
In the summer I always so to my aunt's house where she has a huge garden full of fruits and vegetables. When I have my own house I hope to raise a garden of my own. Living in the city it is hard to be close with nature, but later in life I will make up for it.
Life is a Highway
Someday I want to go on a road trip either with my family or my friends. It seems like a good way to get to know people better and build better relationships. It sounds fun to listen to music, play road trip games, and talk for hours!
Bow Wow
Never in my whole life have I ever owned a dog because my mom isn't a fan, but after I have left I want a dog. I would get a golden retriever because I think they are really pretty and also good with kids. I would love to go on walks and have a dog to play with.
Behind the Wheel
I think a Ford truck would be the coolest car to drive. Everybody says trucks are for boys, but someday I hope to prove them wrong. Just because it isn't want other people think doesn't mean you can't do what you want. Just be yourself!
Of course, like many other people, I hope to one day get a job, but not only do I want a job I want a job that I want to do. My dream job is to be a youth director for a Presbyterian church. I have grown up Presbyterian at PHPC and I have two youth leaders that are amazing. Working with kids and bringing them closer to God would be the best job I could ask for.
Making a Difference
If I complete one important thing in my life, I hope it is this. I have a plan. One global issue that really means a lot to me is hunger, and the most important thing is that it's 100% preventable. Today around the world, 870,000,000 people are hungry, and and about 40,000,00 tons of food are wasted, just in the U.S. each year. But I have a plan to decrease the number of starving people. When I grow up I am somehow (haven't really got the specifics yet) going to create a program that will send food to places around the world that desperately need food, and I will grow all the food myself (this is where the garden ties in). Not only will the food I grow be healthy, it will include in an awareness program of nutrition. When I died, I hope to have made a positive change to the world, and make it a better place not just for you and me, but for everybody else as well.
