63% Decrease suspensions/expulsions from 2011 to 2012
18 % Increase in participation in athletics and activities
Improved academic performance in 5 out of 7 categories on the TCAP assessment 2 consecutive years!
Improved ACT composite scores (15.3 to 16.1) with a goal of 19 for 2014!
12% drop in college remediation for college bound graduates 2011-2012

Points of Pride

Culturally Responsive training for all staff is taking place this month designed to promote six essential elements:
It is always student centered
it has the power to transform
it is connected and integrated
it fosters critical thinking
it incorporates assessment and reflection
it builds relationships and community

WHS has partnered with the statewide Parent Coalition with the goal of improving community involvement at WHS
A Family Engagement Leadership Team is being formed to help lead this initiative
