Why it matters?
You need a healthy circulatory system and respiratory system because they are two of the most important systems in your body. The circulatory system is the body's transport system. The circulatory system transports blood and other materials through your body. The respiratory system is the system that helps you breathe. Through this presentation you will understand the importance of keeping the circulatory and respiratory system healthy and the top ten ways to do it!
This presentation gave you a lot of ways to keep your respiratory system and circulatory system healthy! Both systems are very important for you and do a lot for you, so keep them healthy. There are many more ways to keep your body healthy, look online to find more.
One way to keep you your circulatory and respiratory systems healthy is to exercise regularly. Exercise makes your lungs and heart stronger and makes you breathe in more oxygen. Any activities that get you moving are good for the your circulatory and respiratory systems. You should try to get at least thirty minutes of exercise three days a week.
Another way to keep your circulatory and respiratory systems healthy is to eat a balanced diet. Eating a balanced diet will give all the nutrition you need to make it through the day with a healthy body. You should also watch your weight because, being overweight will make your heart work harder to pump blood around you body with can raise your blood pressure and lead to other health problems. You should also exercise and eat a balanced diet because if you don't plaque or fatty accumulation can build up inside the walls of your arteries and the blood flow is reduced or even stopped. This disease is called atherosclerosis. Other factors can also cause atherosclerosis.
Another way to keep your circulatory system and your respiratory system healthy is to not put bad things into them.
For example you should not smoke. Smoking causes lung cancer and many other health issues. You should also try to stay away for pollution and things you are allergic to.
You should get doctor checkups regularly to maintain healthy circulatory and respiratory systems. You should get them more frequently if someone in your family has health issue. You should follow your doctor's advice and you need to make sure you check your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. High blood pressure is often called the silent killer because it is killing people with them knowing it. The leading cause of death in the United States is cardiovascular disease.
Another way to keep your circulatory and respiratory systems healthy is to manage your stress. High stress could lead to high blood pressure, or hypertension. When this happens the force of the blood is too high inside your blood vessels. This can cause the heart and blood vessels to feel extra strain which can make the heart weaken and damage your kidneys and eyes.
Another thing you should do to maintain a healthy circulatory system and respiratory system is have good hygiene. Respiratory disease like pneumonia are transmitted due to poor hygiene. Viruses and bacteria could be anywhere so it is important to wash your hands and cover your coughs and sneezes.
You should also stay hydrated. When you are dehydrated your lungs dilate to make up for the loss of water. This will cause your lungs to become weak. You should drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day depending on what you do.
You should also reduce your alcohol intake. Alcohol dehydrates your body and it weakens the immune system. It also makes lungs vulnerable to infection and blocks the upper air passages. Which increases your chance of getting respiratory disease. Medical studies have linked regular alcohol consumption to pneumonia and bad respiratory health.
Eat vitamin A. Vitamin A is very important for your respiratory system. It reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Vitamin A stimulates your immune system and fights infections.
Another way to keep your circulatory and respiratory system healthy is to eat herbs. Herbs can heal your lungs and improve their functions. Some herbs are: licorice root, coltsfoot, cannabis, osha root, thyme, oregano, lobelia, elecampane, eucalyptus, mullein, lungwort, chaparral, sage, mint, and plantain leaf.
