The task that Riba performs is safely lifting and moving people up to 135 pounds from a bed to a wheelchair and back.

It simulates a nurse lifting the patient, Riba can even recognize faces and respond to commands.
Right now it is being used in nursing homes and hospitals.

It's work envelope is:
-7ft. for each arm
-3ft. for head
-2ft for waist
3ft. for the cart (with 4 motored wheels)
-height is 140 cm.
Yes, it's arms and hands.
It was programmed
to lift people.
Advantage: easier and safer for both the patient and the doctor or nurse
Disadvantage: they can fall through the arms.
It would provide jobs for the people making the robots.
In the future it will be altered to be able to lift more weight.
It is saving physical harm for hospital workers.
