Alright. It's our last day to discuss Justice. Here are some quotes. Choose one and copy it accurately. Write a thoughtful response.

So what can we say about JUSTICE at the end of a week's worth of discussions?

Roots Quiz
During the quiz, it is imperative that you be silent and refrain from any form of communication with others. Should you choose to talk today, even if you're talking about something unrelated to the quiz, I will be forced to assign you a grade of "zero." Please. Learn this lesson the "easy way." I am giving you fair warning: if you slip, today, and choose to talk during the quiz, a zero will be entered for this quiz.
Music Video Friday!
Ok! Let's do this! Don't forget to make THOUGHTFUL claims and use ACCURATE, RELEVANT evidence. AND don't forget to be respectful to your classmate in their leadership of this discussion.
Exploring Vivid Description
1. Fold your paper (hamburger fold)
2. We will be drawing TWO monsters based on two descriptions I will read. I will read each description multiple times. You draw what you think the monster looks like. Only look at your own paper, and when finished, we will compare.
Now it's your turn...
I'm going to give you a handout including LOTS of good, vivid, descriptive words. Take a moment and HIGHLIGHT 10-12 words on each page you think you might truly use in your writing.

Now, it is your job to write a VIVID DESCRIPTION of a monster - one you create using your imagination. When your description is finished, you will draw your monster.

Next, you will be partnered with someone. You and your partner will SWITCH descriptions and draw each other's monsters. Let's see how good your description is. If you make it vivid enough, your partner's drawing and yours should look similar!
