Willy Messerschmitt
Willy Messerschmitt designed some iconic World War Two planes such as the Messerschmitt Bf-109 and the Messerschmitt 262, the worlds first operational jet fighter. Messerschmitt made planes that are still renown today that helped the Germans immensely in World War Two
Part 7: Aerospace Engineering interests
I think that Aerospace Engineering would be a great career for me as I love planes and aeronautical instruments. I am definitely interested in this career now that I have researched it and thought about it more.
PE (Professional engineer)
You have to pass the PE exam to prove that you are a worthy engineer after passing the FE test to show you are smart enough to take the PE test to become an engineer. I could join the NSPE (National Society of Professional Engineers) which is a better way for professional engineers to stay better in touch with the professional engineering society.
Aviation Systems Engineer-13000E0
A job in Olathe, Kansas run by Garmin International, Inc. that involves the design process and the creation of airplanes. The average salary was $83,000 in July.
Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineer 3
A job located in Sunnyvale, California, run by Northrop Grumman that pays an average of $78,000 as of July 2013. The job involves the design, building, and test of submarine launched missiles.
Part 4: Job Opportunities
Aerospace Engineering - a field of engineering concerned with the design, development, construction, testing, and operation of vehicles operating in the Earth’s atmosphere or in outer space
Aerospace Engineering
Located 1200 E. California Boulevard Pasadena, CA 91125. I would take the course Aerospace engineering (Ae 105 abc) which is a course that shows you the design, fundamentals, and building of aerospace vehicles. I would also take the course Combustion fundamentals (Ae/ME 120 ab.) which is a course that deals with thermodynamics, various gasses, and combustion of those gasses.
California University of Technology
University of Illinois
Located 1308 W. Green Urbana, IL 61801. I would take the course Aerospace Systems Design 1 (AE 442) which teaches about the design process for aerospace flight systems. I would also take the course Advanced Robotic Planning (AE 583) which teaches about robotic motion planning. I participate in the activity Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers which is a course that deals with all prospects of electrical engineering.
Illinois Institute of Technology (Armour)
10 West 33rd Street, Perlstein Hall, Suite 224 Chicago, IL 60616. I would take the course Aerodynamics of Aerospace vehicles (MMAE 312). It teaches about aerodynamic drag and lift properties. I would also take the course Aircraft Flight Mechanics (MMAE 410). It teaches about the properties of flight mechanics.
