i.e.; If 1 pound stretches the spring 5 inches, 2 pounds will stretch it 10 inches. A spring scale determines the weight of an object. The spring reaction to weight remains constant and will change only if the weight changes. The scale measures weight by the distance a spring changes under different weights. The seller would weigh the food to set a price.
A seller would also sometimes weigh the
object,minerals etc to see how much they
where worth. This made it much more hard

package or letter to be sure it is

because they could take the scale
with them in the mail room and
saved them time and money. 2) culture factors- It increased correspondence and
helped people share more info. Affordable The scales where easy to make
and cheap to buy. If you where a
farmer or a seller, you could
probably afford a spring scale. Minerals
(gold, silver, etc... In some places, people traded minerals. The trader
would need to weigh the minerals to see the value. The spring scale is not too big which
makes traveling with it easier. If you

a spring scale wherever you go. socially: Because everyone can afford it,
they are getting out farther and using
with more people than before. culturally: It increased trade and affected there traditions
